United Way of Central Missouri invites you to attend our 6th annual Power of the Purse fundraiser, hosted by our Women United affinity group!

Power of the Purse offers an opportunity for all women to show their support for the United Way of Central Missouri and the over 119,000 people served through our 28 partner agencies--while enjoying the comradery of other engaged, caring women in our community.  This event is led by event co-chairs, Vicki Myers and Ashley Wilde, along with a group of 20 other passionate, energetic, community-minded women who make up our Host Committee.  This year’s event will begin virtually with an online silent auction on November 11, so ladies can begin bidding on the bag(s) they fall in love with prior to the live event.  The in-person component of the event is November 17 where guests in attendance will have the opportunity to see, touch and continue to bid on the online silent auction items on display through the close of the silent auction that evening; as well as bid on the 13 highest valued handbags modeled by gentlemen from our community. The live auction bags will be available for bid by guests in attendance at the November 17 in-person event only. Additional components available to guests at the in-person event include a wine pull, jewelry pull and Women United t-shirt sales. We invite every woman in our community to join us to support our community.  The ticket price is $40 to enjoy the company of 300 other lovely women who want to support our community and have the opportunity to bid on silent and live auction purses--ranging from upscale, brand-name purses, to local hand-made bags and vintage collectibles.
